Hi! I was a member for a month or two and then life took a frustrating turn for my husband and so I wasn't able to participate like I had wanted to. Now that everything seems to be resolved and everyone is healthy again I have some time to breathe and hopefully meet some new friends. Here was my response when I joined last time...

We recently moved back out to the Arnold area for the school district

4. Tell us about your husband or significant other
My husband Larry is a warehouse manager during the day and DJ's in he spare time. He is the world to me and we were married January 17th 2009.

5. Do you have any hobbies?
Not really I enjoy singing and I use to dance but rarely have time for anything these days.

6. What do you do? Work outside the home, work at home or stay at home mom?
I work full time for a Pharmaceutical company as an Administrative Assistant. I love my job but I wish I had more time to spend quality time with the kids.

7. How did you hear about our board?
I was googling something the other day and your site came up in a link and I thought it would be an awesome way to make connections with people.

8. Are you originally from Missouri?
I actually grew up on the Illinois side of the river.

9. If you had one full day to do whatever you wanted, what would you do?
I would take all of the kids to Disney World so they could share the experience with me. ---This is actually going to happen in December

10. How often do you get online?
Usually everyday at least once or twice. It just depends on our schedule. Some days/nights are busier than others.

11. Whats your favorite Restaurant?
Texas Roadhouse

12. If you could send your child(ren) to any school in STL, which one would it be and why?
Any school in the Fox C-6 district

13. Favorite family spot and why?
I would say Arnold park because it's one of the first places my husband and I got our kids together to meet for the first time and we had a blast. Just seems that we always go back there.

Hi! This is not my first time to the board. Keeping in touch became difficult for me in the past after our laptop bit the dust. We were down to one computer in the house, my husbands work desk top. :-( But today is a new day! I am currently typing on my brand new shiny black Toshiba which I love! We also had some other 'life gets in the way' kind of things that just distracted me too much for a while.
I'd love to get back in touch with other fabulous Moms and women who I can relate to!

2. Tell us about your child(ren): We are still on number 1. Isabella is almost 2 1/2. She's healthy but petite for her age. I think she's making up what she's lacking in size by personality! She's our sassy, fearless girl!
Up until September she'd been cared for in a private home by a wonderful woman with a degree in early childhood education. We could not have been luckier to meet her. It was a sad day when she told us she was returning to full time work. Now Bella is at a pre-school facility and finally well settled. I wish I could be with her every day, but at least I'm happy about where she goes.

3. What area do you live in and why?: St. Peters, Mo. Because my husband lived in St. Peters his whole life and my parents had been in St. Charles for a few years. And because when we were engaged I had an apartment in Chicago and his work revoked the transfer they had granted. I could pout about it for hours but lets keep it shourt & say I just came back home because I loved him and my parents were here! I would LOVE to move somewhere new eventually.

4. Tell us about your husband or significant other: Jeff & I call ourselves Team Ott. (only in the privacy of our own home of course!) :-)
He's a good husband, he's an amazing Daddy. I love to watch him interract with our daughter. He's very much a jock/hunting type.

5. Do you have any hobbies?: Most of my spare time is spent with Isabella. If I have me time then I'm reading, scrapbooking, trying new recipes. I used to do a lot of horse back riding but that was because I was caring for the horse and it's stall in exchange for time. I've been thinking a lot about getting into riding again and buying a horse just isn't an option! :-)

6. What do you do? Work outside the home, work at home or stay at home mom?: For a short time I was a stay at home Mom, now I am working full time outside the home.

7. How did you hear about our board?: Andrea123 & Zacharysmommy is my hubby's cousin!

8. Are you originally from Missouri?: Nope, I'm a Hoosier. Hobart, Indiana.

9. If you had one full day to do whatever you wanted, what would you do?: Lay on the dock at the lake on a lounge chair with a book in one hand and something frozen & full of Rum in the other hand!

10. How often do you get online?: Now, daily or multiple times daily

11. Whats your favorite Restaurant?: Can't pick just one! Wasabi, PF Changs, Guido's Pizza & Tapas, Little Tokyo, Paul Minneos (at westport, used to be Marcianos), El Maguey, Luvy Duvy's Cafe & Wildflower.

12. If you could send your child(ren) to any school in STL, which one would it be and why? : Still researching the private school option as opposed to public school. (went to public school myself) Possibly Viz because I know some women who work there, girls my age who attended school there and now have their own girls enrolled.

13. Favorite family spot and why? : My Mother & Father-in laws pool! Isabella Is nuts about it an its fun for all of us!

I live in south county. My husband is going to school to be a pharmacist and we rent a house from his grandmother who charges us a very low rent to help him get through school.

His name is Nick he is a poker dealer who is going through school to be a pharmacist. He is a great guy and a wonderful father!

5. Do you have any hobbies?
Unfortunately I feel like I don't have a lot of time for hobbies but I have a friend who makes beautiful jewelry and I would love to be her apprentice!

I work about 37hrs a week at a preschool. I work for special school district and basically shadow special needs students and help adapt the day to their individual needs. Its very rewarding and I love all the kids I get to work with!

7. How did you hear about our board?
My friend Dede is on the board and is always telling me how much fun it is!

Yes born and raised in st. Louis

9. If you had one full day to do whatever you wanted, what would you do?
Take the kids to Disney World!

I'm happy just to get out, any restaurant would be great!

Trevor attends St Dominic Savio in Affton and we really love it there! The staff is great and its big enough to remain open for a long time but small enough to be personal.

Probaly the zoo. It's free, always open, and alot of fun for the kids and me!

O'Fallon, MO - we looked in West County, but couldn't find "our house", ya know?

Travis & I have been together since 1996 & have been married since 2002. He's 38, works in St. Charles & is a fantastic husband & dad. He's one of those guys who could TOTALLY keep himself busy/occupied if he won the lottery. He would NOT need to work to stay busy... there are at least 10,000 "things I wanna do" on his list. lol!

5. Do you have any hobbies?
I'm ADD & unmedicated... I have a million hobbies, but none of which I devote 100% of my time to. I bake, I cook, I scrapbook, I crochet, my latest & greatest half-butt hobby is sewing (but apparently that requires a sewing machine... whoda thunk it?)... shall I continue?

Messiah Lutheran in Weldon Spring. That's where we go to church & I'd love for my boys to go to a place where they don't have to keep their religion to themselves. It'd also be nice for them to have some spiritual structure in their schooling.

Hi Everyone! I'm a newbie to this board and to St. Louis!

2. Tell us about your child(ren): I have a son named Jeremy that is will be 2 in April. And I have my husband, does that count? hahaha

3. What area do you live in and why? My husband, son, and I just moved from Chicago to the St. Louis area....technically we're homeless right now because we backed out on the place we were going to move into on Saturday, so we've been staying at the Drury Inn in Creve Cour, but are suppose to move into our new place tomorrow in Festus. My husband was offered a job from a competitor down here and we accepted it and so here we are!

4. Tell us about your husband or significant other: My husband's name is Mark, and loves being a Daddy. I knew he was "ready" for fatherhood when he became in love w/ Hello Kitty. Yes you read that right! But has moved on to Spongebob since he doesn't have a little girl to teach Hello kitty to. He is in sales and will be working in Fenton. He loves sports, video games, and sports cars though he has not a clue on how to fix a car! :D

5. Do you have any hobbies? I like scrapbooking, but haven't done it in a while. I am sadly addicted to some tv shows if that counts! I also love cooking & baking, but not the cleaning up so much!

So far I'd have to say the play place at West County mall. The mall back home had a play place too which Jeremy looooves going to. The one here looks so much cooler, I can't wait to take him there! And I've heard great things about the kids museum, so I'm sure that'll be on the list too!

I am a FTM to Vittoria (AKA Tori), and she is 14 mo :)
3. What area do you live in and why?
My Husband and I live in Moscow Mills. It's where we grew up :) My parent's live 10 min. from us, and his brother still lives in Hawk Point which is only 15 min. away. Most of our friends still live in the Moscow Mills, Troy, Hawk Point, and Winfield area as well.

4. Tell us about your husband or significant other
Greg works in IT for a medical billing software company (Next Gen) located in Westport. He's an artist, gamer, and a pessimist. Or as he puts it, a "realist" :) He's very sarcastic, and I usually describe him to others as "dark, sick, twisted, and demented" :) lol!

5. Do you have any hobbies?
I love to refinish antique furniture. Though I haven't had the time to do so since I've had Tori. I also save articles from magazines and organize them into specific binders/folders (ie. Household Organization, Health and Fitness, Recipes, etc.)

I unfortunately work outside the home for now :( I am a Production Assistant/Traffic Co-ordinator/On-Air Camera Talent for the City of Saint Charles Government Access Channel on Charter Cable. I would LOVE to be a SAHM though, and dream of the day that it will happen :)

Well, not too sure about this one yet. Before we had Tori, I'd have to say Alley Spring, MO. It's a Gorgeous camping experience! Greg's been going since he was a boy, and now I Love it too :) We'll eventually be taking Tori and any other future little ones we have camping there, but not until they're older. There's really not a lot for little kids to do. And since Tori's only 14 mo old, we haven't really taken her to a lot of Family Spots other than a few parks. Parker is my first! He just turned 6 months old on the 24th. He is so much fun right now! I am loving this age!

St Charles. My husband wanted to be be able to access St Louis and Wenztville easily for work; I liked the house, so we agreed!

Patrick owns a construction company. He was a swimmer and went to SLU on a swimming scholarship, but if you ask him what his favorite sport it, he'd probably tell you Supercross!

5. Do you have any hobbies?
With a 6 month old I don't have much time for hobbies right now! But I love reading and being outside! I am so ready for Spring!

Full-time mommy right now! Before I had Parker I was finishing up my masters in School Counseling. I'll be going back this Fall to finish up my hours and graduate! Although, as much as I love being in schools, I would much rather stay with my baby!

My husband's friend's wife is a member and told me about it!

8. Are you originally from Missouri?
No. I moved around a lot growing up, but consider Southern California my home base since that is where I lived the longest! I went to SLU for college, met Patrick and decided to stay!

Any day at the spa is a good day! :)

Usually every day during nap time!

oo this is a hard one! My husband and I love Miso, but I think it may tie with The Melting Pot! Who doesn't love cheese and chocolate?!?

12. If you could send your child(ren) to any school in STL, which one would it be and why?
I haven't spent a lot of time thinking about this yet, but I've heard good things about the Rockwood school district. I also spent a semester doing my field placement at Ladue Middle School and loved it! The teachers and staff are phenomenal! I guess it just depends on where we end up! I don't have a problem sending my kids to Catholic school, I went and had a great experience!

13. Favorite family spot and why?
Forest Park! There is so much to do! You can have a picnic, take a paddle boat ride or just go for a long walk! I'm also a big fan of Faust Park!

Hi, there! I was on this board a while back, but things got a little hectic with our schedules and I had to drop out for a while. I want to reintroduce myself. I am Jodi, and my husband is Scott. We have two kids, Tony and Isabelle. They are thirteen months apart, and our older one, Tony, received an autism diagnosis before his second birthday, when he was 22 months old and his sister, Izzie, was 9 months old. We decided right away after Tony's diagnosis to sell our house and move to an area with better schools, so pretty much all of 2009 for us was cleaning the house and then showing it - over and over and over again, and trying to work everything around the therapy sessions that were scheduled with Tony in our house. So it was a very hectic year, but the house did finally sell, and we have moved out to Wildwood, and we are trying very hard to forget 2009.

Tony is now settling into the Rockwood Early Childhood preschool program , which we love. And Izzie stays at home with her grandparents, who live with us.

I'm hoping to reconnect with some moms on this board now that we've moved and have more time. This is such a fun group!!

2. Tell us about your child(ren) I have 2 girls, Kaelyn 7 and Jordyn 3 -- they are very active and love being outside. They have incredible imaginations as well and love to play LITTLE PEOPLE, Babies and Barbies :)

3. What area do you live in and why? We live in Barnhart. We love being close ENOUGH to the city, but not in all of the congestion. We just built a home here and it is also only 15 minutes from family!

4. Tell us about your husband or significant other - my husband Mike is 27 and works in IT as a government contractor at NGA -- aka -- Defense Mapping, downtown. He plays on his computer, loves sports and plays soccer.

5. Do you have any hobbies? hahaha that is funny! seriously though, I used to scrapbook, I love to cross stitch, sew, crochet (although I only know 1 stitch), and I have quilted in the past. I laughed because I think I spend more time BUYING the crafts and organizing them, than I actually spend DOING or completing them!

I currently stay at home. I just quit my job a little less than a month ago when we moved into our home. I am trying to work from home a few days a week while my youngest is at preschool ... just to make some extra spending cash, but I haven't started yet.

7. How did you hear about our board?
My cousin actually directed me to this site.

8. Are you originally from Missouri?
No, I was born and raised in Illinois, my parents moved to St. Louis after I graduated high school and I met my husband in college. He moved to Illinois when I moved back AFTER college and we got married shortly later. He then joined the military which moved us to Colorado for 2 years and when he separated Active Duty to go into the Air National Guard, we moved back to Missouri where we lived with his parents while our home was built!

9. If you had one full day to do whatever you wanted, what would you do?
go shopping, but without a budget. i love retail therapy .. but now that I stay home, that is a BIG NO NO! So, I would love to go shopping for myself but with friends or my sisters. The only time I get to go shopping, I usually have two shelf grabbers with me :) As much as I love having them with me, it is NOT much therapy when they are along!!

10. How often do you get online?
Way too often. My mom and both of my sisters work from home and are online all day so I chat with them on and off. My husband can't take his cell phone into work because of secure areas, so we email all day back and forth. I am not always online, but am always connected to my email through my iphone.

11. Whats your favorite Restaurant? Red Robin ... I LOVE their BBQ Chicken wrap ... mmmmmmmmmm, maybe I should go get one now :)

12. If you could send your child(ren) to any school in STL, which one would it be and why? Probably, St. John's Lutheran in Arnold, MO ... we are members at the church and the girls really love their Sunday School and VBS programs. My husband and I were both raised in Lutheran grade schools, so it is important to us.

13. Favorite family spot and why?
as a family, our vacations were usually visiting family ... we went to St. Pete Florida a few times when our oldest was a toddler, but I guess our favorite family spot would be the park. My husband and I usually turn into kids ... jumping off of the swings and chasing the girls down the slides. We always have the best time and the dog can come too!

I was raised in South County and I live just a block from where I grew up!

My husband, Eric, is a great guy who works hard ~ he is in sales.

5. Do you have any hobbies?
I love to travel ~ Phoenix is a frequent destination for me as half of my mom's family has moved out there.

I am currently a stay-at-home mom ~ I am looking for a part-time job in a private school for the fall.

I learned about it from a previous member and had been meaning to check it out for a long time!

At this point I would spend a whole day relaxing... starting with sleeping in and the day would definitely include a massage and a pedicure!

I don't know that I can pick a favorite... I have several restaurants that I like. Pietro's is one of my top picks, though.

12. If you could send your child(ren) to any school in STL, which one would it be and why?
If I could pick any school I think I would pick Chesterfield Day School. I love the atmosphere and the teaching techniques used in the school. I am very pro independent schools and would definitely support one of them.

13. Favorite family spot and why?
My favorite family spot is on vacation (preferably the beach) with my family - no one else to run our days and nights and we can all be together for the amount of time that we are gone - no sports or other extra curricular activities or friends to pull the kids away!

3. What area do you live in and why? We used to live in O'fallon but moved to Denver, CO 2 1/2 years ago. We are now moving back to St Louis...looking into the St Charles area

5. Do you have any hobbies? Since I moved to Denver, I've really enjoyed learning more about photography and I love party planning :)

6. What do you do? Work outside the home, work at home or stay at home mom? I used to work as a pediatric nurse in the clinic setting (and might get back into that) but I've been staying home with the kiddos and considering starting up a business with party planning and photography

9. If you had one full day to do whatever you wanted, what would you do? A relaxing day with friends getting mani's and pedi's then shopping....in the evening I would want to spend it with my hubby :)

3. What area do you live in and why? I live in south city in a cute little house that has been in my hubby's family for more than 100 years. It's great, I can walk to the new YMCA in Holly Hills.

4. Tell us about your husband or significant other. I have known my husband for six years. I used to follow his band (I hated his music), but all my friends,at the time, would go so that is how we meet. My husband and I got married in 2007 at Herman Hill. He works at AAA as a supervisor.

5. Do you have any hobbies? I love to scrapbook! I have my daughter's first book finished, but have not started on my son's book.

I'm interested in finding anyone on the board with a son or daughter that goes there and finding out if it is still as good as it was 7 years ago.
